As an Acetate Development Researcher you will work in a dynamic and diverse environment, undertaking development projects in synergy with internal facilities and 3rd party collaborators. The development of new polymer grades and product application requires a strong background in polymer science, mechanical characterisation of materials and plastics transformation. You will work with a broad portfolio of lab instruments and industrial manufacturing processes, requiring strong critical thinking and an attitude to proactively finding solutions.
• Educational Background in Materials Engineering, PhD recommended;
• At least 2 years of experience in alloy development&implementation or equivalent PhD level academic experience on material development;
• critical thinking on causality between composition -> forming technology -> post processing -> material properties;
• Strong problem solving skills;
• Material characterization techniques (mechanical, physical, chemical);
• Solid experience with technical and executive reporting through MS Office Suite;
• Experience in 3D CAD modelling;
