Summary

A Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing, coordinating, and submitting technical and commercial proposals that meet client requirements and company standards. The role bridges technical expertise with business development, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with organizational goals.

The Role
  • Support our teams and customers throughout the entire cycle of a project with in-depth product & application knowledge.
  • Technical sales support from customer enquiry to quotation, during the order acquisition process, handover to fulfilment and follow up till final delivery, customer acceptance and handover to services.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and sales team.
  • Assessing and consolidating customer requirements.
  • Configuration and selection of assigned product groups based on application data.
  • Costing and lead-time estimation of assigned product groups.
  • Provide iterative support to sales team during tender phase.
  • Comprehensive orders hand-over to CoE functions.
  • Provide iterative support to sales team and CoE functions during order processing phase.
  • Backup support on non-assigned product groups or areas.
  • Support to supplier selection.
  • Support for customer acceptance (FAT, SAT, O&M Manual).
  • Support to Service handover, claims and spare parts.
Requirements
  • High school degree required – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or another related field is strongly desired.
  • 2+ years as Technical Sales Engineer, proposal engineer, application engineer or similar, in B2B market.
  • Tools: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Salesforce, Office.
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering background.
  • Italian written and spoken is a plus.
  • Understanding of order management process.
  • Knowledge on B2B commerce.
  • Fluent English written and spoken.
