Amazon is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to support the continued expansion of our European fulfillment and sort centre network. This individual will lead a team of contracted support personnel and coordinate the internal and external resources required to launch new highly complex fulfillment and sort centers with the goals of achieving timelines, staying within budget, driving standardisation and consistency within our network. Ideal candidates will have experience managing large and complex projects with ambitious schedule commitments. The person must be capable of leading and mentoring their project resources while also managing project engineers and other specialists and coordinating schedules with multiple vendors at the same time. This individual needs to be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organisation in order to be successful.
Would you like an opportunity to travel and work in multiple countries and cultures? The role will be based in the UK with 50% of the time travelling either domestically or to other EU countries.
You will plan and execute projects that deliver operational fulfilment and sortation centres. Your day could include engagement with all levels of the organisation to agree strategy, attend the site, plan and manage resources to execute activities which you have detailed in an integrated schedule. You will make decisions on behalf of the business and see the outcome of these come to fruition through coordination of stakeholders, both internal and third party, and finally celebrating in the successful launch of the facility or project… Day One for all of us!
