PRODUCT MANAGER - MACCHINARI INDUSTRIALI

Our client is a market leader in the materials testing industry headquartered in Milan.

The position will focus on product management activities with a direct responsibility for the entire assigned product portfolio. He / she will deal with the lifecycle of a product, gathering market needs / opportunities to propose new test solutions, maintaining the competitiveness for the existing product by working closely wth R&D, Sales, Service, Purchasing and Marketing.

In addition, the position will assist the Sales Managers of the Italian Headquarter and the international subsidiaries in the preparation of customer bids.

The candidate will have high degree of autonomy but will be part of the Product Managers team and report to the Head of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, identify customer needs, and establish market requirements for new product development.
• Perform competitive analysis to define product portfolio positioning.
• Interact with key company Stakeholder, including external laboratories, universities, research centers, and key customers to develop new products / solutions.
• Collaborate with R&D to define and execute daily product development plans, including cost analysis.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team for brochure and marketing tools (web site, videos and others).
• Work closely with Sales in the preparation of complex offerings and product promotion.
• Support Customer Service with customer technical issues.
• In collaboration with Marketing and Sales, participate in national and international exhibitions, trade shows, and visits / events for customers to promote products and solutions.

Requirements

• MSc Material Engineering, MSc Material Science or equivalent .
• Ideally 5 year experience in product management in fast-paced and dynamic industrial environments
• Experience in material testing equipment would be very much appreciated.
• Good level of spoken and written English.
• Very good communication skills in Italian and English
• Results oriented and customer-centric mindset
• Autonomy and proactive approach.
