Tecnimont is seeking a Mechanical Handling Expert to join our team in Catania. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing integrated solutions for complex plants designed to provide access to the latest technologies in our large-scale projects worldwide. Responsibilities

• Identify, select, and manage mechanical handling systems primarily for maintenance purposes in complex contexts such as onshore and offshore chemical/oil & gas plants.
• Support the project's technical disciplines during the main development phases of detailed engineering and related 3D plant models, ensuring safety and improving accessibility, efficiency, and operational reliability.
• Manage relationships with customers and subcontractors.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and technical training.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in construction site mechanical handling.
• Prior experience with mechanical lifting and handling systems (cranes, winches, overhead hoists, etc.).
• Experience with technical specifications, CAD drawings, and vendor documentation.
• Proficiency in 3D plant modeling programs such as Smart Plant, Universal Plant Viewer, and Navisworks.
• Proven experience in EPC development projects and operations of chemical/oil & gas plants.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage interpersonal relationships in an international context; good knowledge of written and spoken English required.
