Candidates should hold a Technical high school diploma, have at least 3 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in parametric design tools and English. The role involves occasional business trips and offers a collaborative and innovative environment.

About the role

We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join our Engineering department. The successful candidate will work alongside Senior Mechanical Designers, managing projects of after-sales kits from concept to completion, to develop full autonomy.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

• Design mechanical components as well as small machine groups;
• Modify already existing machine groups, design mechanical parts;
• Draft relevant technical documentation;
• Support the assembly department for ongoing modifications;
• Strong collaboration with the Electronics Department;
• Design review;

The position is based in Castel Maggiore (Bologna, Italy).

What you need to be successful

To be successful in the role, you must have a strong and keen interest in designing activities and an innate aptitude for working with customers and colleagues. You are a team player.

You also:

• Hold a Technical high school diploma. The attainment of a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related is considered a plus;
• Previous experience of at least 3 years of experience, preferably in automation machinery;
• Know parametric designing tools. Understanding of Creo Modelling/ProEngineering and CAD Tools will be considered a plus;
• You are willing to learn SAP and Oracle. If you already have, it will be considered a plus;
• You feel at ease speaking, reading, and writing in English;
• You are thrilled about potential business trips (15-20%);
• You are handy, flexible, and curious.
