A European engineering consulting group is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Parma. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial automation and excellent command of SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor. Responsibilities include designing components, creating models and drawings, and collaborating with other teams. This is an on-site position.

Your Role:

Mechanical Designer – Industrial Automation

Location: Parma, Italy – On-site

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer with proven experience in industrial automation to join our engineering team in Parma. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor, capable of managing mechanical design tasks from concept to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for industrial automation systems.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and Inventor.
• Collaborate with electrical and automation teams to ensure integration of mechanical solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and propose technical improvements.
• Interface with suppliers and production teams to support prototyping and manufacturing phases.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial automation.
• Excellent command of SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor.
• Availability to work abroad.
