An innovative remote sensing company in Milan is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design antenna structures for space applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in CAD design, particularly with Siemens NX, and a solid understanding of mechanical and thermal systems. Applicants should possess good communication skills and be eligible to work in Italy. This role is full-time, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. Mechanical design engineer

• Reports to : Mechanical team leader
• Job purpose : Design of the antenna’s structure for space applications
• Location : MetaSensing, Via Aniene 2, 20151, Milan, Italy

Job Duties :

• Mechanical design of the payload structure on a CAD software (Siemens NX)
• Mechanical / Thermal system design and integration

Required skills and qualifications :

• Strong knowledge in CAD design
• Knowledge in manufacturing of metallic parts standards and 2D drawings standards
• Knowledge of solid mechanics
• Understanding of the design process (from concept through to delivery and in-service support)
• Good knowledge of the English language for the working environment
• Good communication and team-working skills

Desired Skills / Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field, ideally 5 years
• Experience with Siemens NX (harness design is a plus)
• Knowledge about space thermo-mechanical design (composite materials is a plus)
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Ability to follow a fast-paced design scenario
• Ability to interact with manufacturers for the production phases

Candidate must be eligible to work in the Italy.

Employment condition : Full-time, 40 hours per week.
