A global packaging leader is seeking an MDO Process Specialist in Venturina Terme, Italy. This role involves leading the startup of a new MDO production line, ensuring process stability, and working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should have a master's degree in engineering and 5+ years of experience in MDO or BOPP lines, with strong knowledge of polypropylene processes. Competenze

Overview

Join the Amcor team as a MDO Process Specialist in Venturina, Italy. Amcor transforms the packaging industry by delivering responsible solutions that benefit customers, people and the planet.

Principal Accountabilities

• Lead the start-up and industrialization of a brand-new MDO production line for CPP-films
• Work closely with production, QC and R&D to industrialize new products
• Ensure process stability, output, quality and efficiency
• Act as a problem solver, implementing best practices
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to team leaders and operators on the shopfloor

Qualifications / Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemistry or related technical field) or equivalent by experience
• 5+ years of proven experience on MDO lines or BOPP lines, ideally gained in the film industry
• Strong operational mindset: passionate about working hands‑on with the machines
• Solid knowledge of polypropylene polymers and PP‑film processes (extrusion, stretching, film properties)
• Experience in process troubleshooting and upscaling
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
• Strong team player and communicator, able to connect with R&D and production
