Our client is a company leader in industrial sector and is looking for a qualified

MARKETING PORTFOLIO MANAGER

The company is engaged in a strong growth cycle, driven by electrification megatrends and, in particular, and in particular by the fast development of strategic market verticals such as Solar, Data Centers, Giga-factory, Grid or Infrastructure/Tunnels.

The primary mission of the Marketing & Portfolio Manager is to shape the products and services portfolio in their region, ensuring alignment with the needs of customers operating in these targeted market verticals. This is based on thorough market analysis, anticipation of future needs, and differentiation strategies, which will strongly influence the investment plan for the relevant production facilities.

This role requires a strong interest in engineering, innovation, and business, in order to deeply understand the needs of customers in these market verticals, manage the development of new offerings, and promote them across a broad technical and commercial community within their region.

Main responsibilities:

Key position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Market intelligence

  • Understand and map market needs per verticals (Solar, Wind, Grid, Data Centers,Rail infra..) in term of product portfolio, services, supply chain, sustainability and digital
  • Monitor evolution of standards, norms, specification,.. applicable to the strategic market verticals in his/her region
  • Perform market watch to understand competitor offers, market positioning and strategy
  • Maintain database hosting market size & channels & trends per market vertical in his/her region
  • Maintain database identifying major projects started/to come per market vertical in his/her region

Offer management

  • Manage the offer portfolio, securing its alignment with strategic market verticals needs (product range, product specifications, qualification,..)
  • Identify opportunities to create new offers, adapt or stop existing ones. Prepare associated business case and assess technical feasibility to prepare Go/no Go decision
  • Act as Project manager for new offer development from its design to its launch. Manage project schedule, budget and deliverable quality. Coordinate technical, industrial, sales and marketing contributing to the new offer.
  • Manage Offer management plan & roadmap for his/her region
  • Define offer documentation and train teams to present offer context, scope, application, value proposition,.. for internal and external purpose.

Business development

  • Identify growth opportunities on his/her regions for targeted market verticals
  • Define Prospection plan in his/her regions, in relationship with Sales team
  • Engage with Customers/End Users to understand their requirements and position company’s offers as early as possible in project life-cycle (“spec-in”)
  • Maximize brand and offer visibility through pro-active communication, customer meetings, tradeshow, site visits…
Required skills and qualifications:
  • Customer oriented, experience preferably within the energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Persistent with strong interpersonal communication skills both written and oral, in addition to good analytical skills, especially in products, applications, and specifications
  • Proficiency in market analysis and strategic marketing. Must be able to present and execute a strategic approach
  • Able to exhibit strong technical and commercial awareness with an ability to communicate at all levels within a business
  • Common sense and organizational skills, Capable of working independently and autonomously
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office.
  • Italian and English speaker
