Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft, complying with FAA / CAA / EASA / CASA regulations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and testing electronic assemblies and units, removing and replacing electronic assemblies, units, or cabling while installed in the aircraft, and modifying or altering installed equipment.

Major Responsibilities
Aircraft / IFE Maintenance and Support
  • Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual tests of Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems.
  • Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles to identify failures, using electronic theory knowledge.
  • Identify repairs needed to restore functionality, including removing and replacing defective modules or cabling.
  • Operate vehicles on airport property and around aircraft.
  • Operate airline communications equipment.
  • Communicate and interface effectively with customers.
Administrative / Documentation
  • Document testing and repairs using computer and barcode systems.
  • Manage spares inventory tracking.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of related industry experience preferred.
  • Relevant academic or technical qualifications to meet regulatory licensing, including FAA A&P.
  • Ability to pass security and background checks.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and verbal instructions in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of electronic troubleshooting, acquired through aviation, military, or technical education, with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to work under high stress and pressure.
  • Ability to determine methods and procedures for new assignments.
  • Work on problems requiring judgment and initiative.
  • Understand work implications and recommend solutions.
  • Complete tasks resourcefully and effectively as a skilled specialist.
Other Requirements
  • May require international and domestic travel up to 25%.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet airport access and vehicle operation requirements.
  • Work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Manual dexterity for working with tools and equipment.
  • Ability to climb, work from ladders or platforms, and endure extended periods of sitting, standing, bending, or twisting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces.
  • Environmental tolerance for noise and congestion.
