Position Overview
This position reports to: Division General Counsel, Machine Automation & Corporate Counsel Austria.
Your Role & Responsibilities
You will ensure support to the assigned Automation local businesses in Italy and support specific assigned global projects.
- Developing close working relationships with the internal customers and stakeholders, including management.
- Gaining experience in multiple jurisdictions and providing cross‑border legal support across the Automation businesses in Italy.
- Participating in and giving assistance in contracts, agreements, consortium and JV.
- Reviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies and other legal documents from vendors, customers and other third parties to ensure compliance with policies.
- Supporting business in managing contractual claims.
- Participating in and promoting activities to ensure employees conduct business in compliance with the directives and local laws.
- Implementing the compliance/integrity group program.
- Providing training to employees on contractual and integrity matters.
- Raising and defending litigation matters brought against the company using relevant external experts.
- Ensuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost‑effective way.
- Supporting the Division Lead Counsel on specific assigned projects.
Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university in Italy.
- Admission to the Italian Bar.
- 5 years’ working experience in a major corporation and/or a leading law firm.
- Demonstrable experience dealing with civil law issues.
- Fluency in English.
- Self‑motivated and able to progressively work with autonomy.
- Team‑spirited, solution‑oriented and with a pragmatic approach.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and clients.
