Position Overview

This position reports to: Division General Counsel, Machine Automation & Corporate Counsel Austria.

Your Role & Responsibilities

You will ensure support to the assigned Automation local businesses in Italy and support specific assigned global projects.

  • Developing close working relationships with the internal customers and stakeholders, including management.
  • Gaining experience in multiple jurisdictions and providing cross‑border legal support across the Automation businesses in Italy.
  • Participating in and giving assistance in contracts, agreements, consortium and JV.
  • Reviewing bids, negotiations, contracts, policies and other legal documents from vendors, customers and other third parties to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Supporting business in managing contractual claims.
  • Participating in and promoting activities to ensure employees conduct business in compliance with the directives and local laws.
  • Implementing the compliance/integrity group program.
  • Providing training to employees on contractual and integrity matters.
  • Raising and defending litigation matters brought against the company using relevant external experts.
  • Ensuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost‑effective way.
  • Supporting the Division Lead Counsel on specific assigned projects.
Qualifications For The Role
  • Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university in Italy.
  • Admission to the Italian Bar.
  • 5 years’ working experience in a major corporation and/or a leading law firm.
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with civil law issues.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Self‑motivated and able to progressively work with autonomy.
  • Team‑spirited, solution‑oriented and with a pragmatic approach.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and clients.
