Lecturer / Senior Lecturer, Project Management

UNSW Canberra – Fixed‑term contract, full‑time (35 hours per week) for 2 years.

Remuneration: Level B from $127,947 or Level C from $155,403 plus leave loading and 17% super.

Location: UNSW Canberra, ADFA Campus, Australia.

This role will contribute to course and programme delivery, development and innovation, and supervision of students in the UNSW‑Project‑Management‑Programme and Master of Project Management (Canberra).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver postgraduate and/or undergraduate courses and programmes in project management.
  • Lead curriculum development and improvement initiatives, including integration of industry best practices.
  • Supervise students and, where appropriate, junior colleagues.
  • Engage with industry partners and contribute to the professional development of the academic community.
  • Publish and lead research projects that inform teaching practice and curriculum design.
Qualifications
  • PhD in project management or a closely related discipline, or a Master’s degree with substantive experience in course and programme design and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies and best practices, with a track record of academic and professional achievements.
  • Practical experience in the project management industry, enabling integration of theory and real‑world application.
  • Experience in course development and delivery at postgraduate and/or undergraduate level.
  • Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement and a passion for engaging learning experiences.
  • Commitment to mentoring students and junior colleagues and the potential to provide leadership within the academic community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with students, colleagues and industry partners.
  • Proactive approach to professional development, staying abreast of the latest trends and pedagogical approaches in project management.
