Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer that will assist our Engineering & Construction team. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary design team in all phases of the projects, from the preliminary or concept design to execution, finalizing our projects in accordance with the agreed deadlines and clients’ requests..

The team will provide the resource with both design and control skills and experience in the field for verifying the execution status of projects within a company where collaboration and team spirit are primary and essential.

Arcadis is looking for a passionate colleague who can join our team by providing support in the day-to-day operations, with the aim to deepen your previous knowledge in the field.

Role accountabilities:

• Support for feasibility studies, preliminary, final and executive design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for civil and industrial buildings;
• Interact with the different disciplines in the optic of integrated design;
• Interact and coordinate Arcadis Excellence Center for detailed design;
• Monitoring, verification and review of technical documents and graphics produced by third parties;
• Support project development in BIM on REVIT software;
• Support technical reports and project specifications, Legge 10 report and energy certifications;
• Support in due diligence activities and technical appraisals;
• Support energy modeling using calculation software.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong interest in mechanical systems for buildings;
• Around 2 years of working experience in similar roles;
• Master’s degree in mechanical or civil Engineering;
• An excellent level of English(B2/C1);
• A good level in the use of Software such asRevit, Autocad
• A thorough knowledge of BIM methodology;
• Basic knowledge of technical legislation for ventilation systems (UNI and ASHRAE), plumbing and drainage and energy consumption containment (Lombardy Region and national areas);
• Team attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues;
• Proactive and positive mindset;
• Ability to maintain productivity when required during remote-work/work from home scenarios.
