    • Accountabilities
    • The Junior Cyber Architect will support the Cyber Architect Team in ensuring the cybersecurity of Hitachi Rail's Rolling Stock products throughout their entire lifecycle. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to, contributing to the following activities under the guidance of senior team members :

    • Support the definition and maintenance of the cybersecurity architecture for Rolling Stock vehicles and their associated systems (e.g., TCMS, onboard control and information systems, communication networks).
    • Assist in analyzing and interpreting cybersecurity requirements from customer specifications (e.g., Etihad), international standards (e.g., IEC 62443 series, EN 50701), and relevant regulations (e.g., NIS2 / D.Lgs. 138 / 2024).
    • Support Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) activities for railway vehicle systems, assisting in identifying threats and defining mitigation measures.
    • Assist in defining cybersecurity Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies and requirements, and support security testing activities.
    • Collaborate with various internal teams, including Software Development (TCMS, other subsystems), Hardware Design, System Engineering, Project Management, RAMS, Safety, Cybersecurity Assurance, Service, and Field Support.
    • Support the production and maintenance of cybersecurity technical documentation (e.g., Security Architecture Descriptions, TARA reports, V&V security plans).
    • Assist in defining requirements for cybersecurity management activities in the operational phase of products (e.g., Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, Incident Response support).
    • Actively participate in training and self-development to deepen knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and regulatory landscapes pertinent to railway and critical infrastructure systems.
    • Required Skills / Knowledge
    • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles applied to Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) / Operational Technology (OT) or embedded systems.
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards relevant to industrial control systems or critical infrastructure (e.g.,
    • IEC 62443 series
    • EN 50701
    • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity regulations for critical infrastructure (e.g.,
    • NIS2 / D.Lgs. 138 / 2024
    • Understanding of software development lifecycles and basic secure coding concepts; any exposure to Model-Based Design is a plus.
    • Foundational knowledge of network security, operating system hardening, and access control principles.
    • Awareness of security testing methodologies (e.g., SAST, DAST, penetration testing concepts).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Education / Qualifications
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field.
    • Relevant entry-level cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, MITRE ATT&CK Defender Fundamentals) are a plus.
    • Languages
