A leading software development company is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join their international development team. Responsibilities include developing reliable backend software, designing new features for GeoServer, and performing bug fixes. Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, strong knowledge of Java and Spring Framework, and be fluent in English. This position is remote-first, targeting candidates within GMT to GMT+2 time zones.

Competenze

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.

• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

About the job

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our core products international software development team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product leads and designers to develop reliable and well tested backend software
• Design and implementation of new GeoServer / GeoTools features
• Performance of day-by-day bug fixing

Minimum qualifications

• 3+ years of experience
• Good knowledge of Java Enterprise
• Good Knowledge of Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL is a must, Oracle a plus
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills quickly
• Being fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable systems for highly concurrent loads
• Knowledge of distributed systems and related key technologies is a plus (e.g. Kafka)
• Knowledge of GeoServer and GeoTools is a plus

We offer a variety of contracts but, please, note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship. We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT and GMT+2.

Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.
