IT Manager – Global IT Infrastructure Lead

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an IT Manager for an international industrial and medical sector company with revenue of approximately 180 million euros.

Company Overview

Involved in a complex carve-out project affecting the entire IT infrastructure and core management systems. The environment is highly international, present in Italy, Poland, France, Germany and the United States, and operates on SAP S/4HANA for production and corporate processes.

The IT structure manages two on‑premise data centers (in Italy and Poland) and a SAP private cloud on AWS, supporting core factory, HQ, and European commercial branches.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will assume responsibility for the entire group IT function, coordinating teams in Italy and Poland and reporting directly to the CTO.

Key immediate objective: support completion of the IT carve‑out (currently 80% complete), with user acceptance tests in progress. The new IT Manager will also establish and govern the Transaction Service Agreement (TSA) for 6‑12 months post‑carve‑out, ensuring service continuity for both entities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate IT teams in Italy and Poland, ensuring effective resource management and cross‑country collaboration.
  • Oversee global IT projects focused on SAP S/4HANA, infrastructure, and data management.
  • Manage migration of Italian systems to the new corporate entity, addressing integrated processes: 3PL, finance, data intelligence, e‑commerce, and electronic order acquisition.
  • Lead relationships with suppliers, consultants, and technology partners, ensuring quality and adherence to time and budget.
  • Control the annual budget for Capex and Opex, guiding choices toward efficiency and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to align business processes with IT architecture.
Technology Context
  • Primary ERP: SAP S/4HANA in private cloud on AWS.
  • Other management systems: local solutions for US and Polish divisions.
  • Data Intelligence: SAP Analytics Cloud, data warehouse, and data lake for heterogeneous data source integration.
  • Infrastructure: on‑premise data centers in Italy and Poland with integrated cloud environments.
Your Profile
  • Proven experience as IT Manager, CIO, or CTO in international manufacturing and commercial contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP processes and architectures (Finance, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales modules).
  • Ability to manage geographically distributed teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong track record managing complex projects (ERP migrations, carve‑outs, UAT, go‑live).
  • Competence in economic governance: budgeting, OPEX/ CAPEX.
  • Fluency in English and a degree in technical‑scientific or economic disciplines.
