Overview

Instrumentation & Control Engineer - Milano role at Progeco Group. Direct hire for an important client in Engineering and Contracting in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical and Renewable Energies sectors. Progeco NeXT offers high-value services in multidisciplinary engineering, project management & field service, inspection & expediting, training & Progeco NeXT Academy, technical recruiting, and operation & maintenance of power industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical P&ID digitization and automation typologies for motors, valves, etc.
• Prepare instrument lists and I/O lists from the project database.
• Prepare technical specifications for instrumentation.
• Prepare technical specifications for control valves, on/off valves, and safety valves.
• Evaluate technical bids for instrumentation and issue technical opinions.
• Evaluate technical bids for control valves and issue technical opinions.
• Develop detailed instrumentation engineering (installation practices, loop wiring, cable routes).
• Follow up with instrument, valve, and package suppliers.
• Participate in FAT and SAT inspections.
• Field activities and detailed surveys.
• Support other engineering disciplines, I&A Manager, and/or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering (preferably automation, chemical, or electronics) and/or technical diploma.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering for process plants.
• Motivation and interest in deepening technical aspects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
• Excellent command of Italian; fluent English, both spoken and written.
