A global semiconductor company in Catania is looking for a candidate for a hardware demonstrator role focused on matrix computing. The successful applicant will define strategies, implement solutions to solve equations, and compare methods in terms of costs and time. Basic knowledge of simulation tools, electronics, and matrix algebra is needed. This position, an internship lasting 4-6 months, offers a chance to innovate in a vibrant team environment.

YOUR ROLE

Define and implement a strategy for a hardware demonstrator exploiting matrix computing

During the stage the candidate will be in charge of:

  • Identify and implement the most suitable way to solve an algebraic (or differential) equation key of a motor control/robotic problem by means of matrix computing
  • Implement a programmable analog network whose topology is able to solve any problem belonging to the same class of the identified application.
  • Compare the method with a traditional approach and highlight the difference in terms of costs and computation time.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
  • Basic knowledge of simulation tools: Orcad/Spice and Matlab/Simulink
  • Basic electronics knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of matrix algebra
  • Problem solving attitude and an analytical mind.
  • Teamwork attitude.
