Competenze

General Description

The Deck Yard HSE Supervisor is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and ensuring that all Health, Safety, and Environmental practices during deck fabrication, outfitting, and assembly in the yard are carried out in compliance with project HSE requirements, regulatory standards, and international best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor all HSE aspects of yard fabrication, welding, lifting, painting, blasting, and outfitting works.
  • Verify EPC/EPIC Contractors implementation of approved HSE Plan, Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) system.
  • Ensure compliance with project HSE standards, local regulations, and international requirements (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, API RP 75, etc.).
  • Monitor implementation of hazard controls, PPE compliance, confined space entry, hot work, and working at height procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety tours to identify unsafe acts/conditions and ensure corrective actions.
  • Ensure contractor carries out proper toolbox talks, safety inductions, and task‑specific risk assessments.
  • Participate in HSE risk reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS) related to deck fabrication and load‑out activities.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness drills in the yard (fire, evacuation, man‑overboard, etc.).
  • Monitor lifting operations, load testing, and heavy transport activities to ensure safe execution.
  • Ensure proper reporting and investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe observations.
  • Review and verify contractors HSE records (induction logs, inspection reports, incident reports, waste management records, etc.).
  • Prepare daily/weekly HSE surveillance reports and submit to PMS HSE Manager.
  • Track and follow up on closure of HSE non‑conformances, audit findings, and corrective actions.
  • Act as PMS focal point for HSE supervision at the yard.
  • Coordinate with EPC/EPIC Contractor HSE team, yard management, and subcontractors to resolve safety issues.
  • Interface with COMPANY HSE representatives and regulatory authorities during inspections or audits.
  • Support readiness for pre‑load‑out HSE audits and final acceptance by client.
Qualifications
