Job Description

The Head of Sales – Fuel will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of an internal sales team, responsible for prospecting, selling, and onboarding customers. The position is in‑office, 5 days per week in Milan.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support individual team members’ performance, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Continuously review the adoption of the strategy across all levels of the team, aligning daily operations and initiatives with the overall strategic objectives.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives within the team, ensuring smooth transitions, addressing resistance, and promoting a culture of adaptability.
  • Lead structured pipeline reviews to assess sales progress, identify opportunities, address challenges, and ensure individuals are on track to meet their targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and high‑performance team culture, promoting trust, open communication, accountability, and a shared commitment to achieving goals.
  • Find growth opportunities, enabling sales improvements and product mix.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and L&D cycle.
  • Work cross‑departmentally to refine and improve the customer journey.
  • Regularly review to identify and act on areas of improvement against the department budget.
  • Utilise the business CRM tools and create plans that truly impact key business performance indicators.
  • Coordinate, consolidate and sign‑off monthly commission submissions for the department.
  • Engage your team on KPIs that impact the wider group such as cross‑sell.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a senior Sales Management role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office packages and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Able to demonstrate a 'common sense' approach to problem solving in the sales environment.
  • Manage own workload effectively and support your director and peer group.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision/non‑decision makers.
  • Strong team building skills and an ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Enthusiastic self‑starter, driven by the intent to succeed and achieve company goals.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage a large workforce with creative new ideas.
