A global travel technology company in Milan is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Back End Engineering department. The successful candidate will be technically proficient, capable of hands-on coding, and possess strong leadership skills to develop and inspire their team. Responsibilities include architecture design and maintaining scalable systems. Experience in systems architecture and proficiency in languages like Java, Scala, or C# is crucial. Competenze

• Extremely proficient in at least 1 programming language (Java, Scala, C#).
• Strong experience in systems architecture – particularly in complex, scalable and fault tolerant distributed systems.
• Demonstrable experience as a system owner with operational responsibility.
• Proficient in lower level engineering (Garbage collection, context switching, threading).
• Must have worked in a successful agile development team.
• Must have run engineering teams before with 5+ direct reports.
