About the Role

As Global Senior Toxicologist, you will be part of the Food Safety & Quality department and be the Group subject matter expert on toxicological food safety risks, especially contaminants, directly reporting to Food Safety & Product Integrity Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor external scientific, technical and regulatory evolutions in the field of chemical Food Safety (e.g. environment and process contaminants) applying horizon scanning best practices; leverage new developments when relevant and evaluate potential business impact enabling science‑based and informed business decisions.
  • Drive the risk anticipation process from risk identification to risk mitigation to ensure all emerging or evolving risks are managed properly, involving all required functions and delivering risk assessments in all circumstances.
  • Implement new state‑of‑the‑art toxicological assessment methodologies and tools to conduct a robust risk analysis across the value chain enabling science‑based decisions to predict and prevent potential Food Safety issues.
  • Support product design, sourcing, manufacturing, and crisis/in‑cident response with risk assessments, providing toxicological expertise throughout the product life cycle.
  • Build a scientific external network and partnerships, staying current with scientific evolutions, studies, and emerging risks; support a global scientific engagement strategy on Food Safety topics and build a Scientific Advisory Board of internationally recognized experts.
  • Represent the Group in worldwide Food Safety and selected Food Safety organizations, events, conferences, etc., to increase credibility and shape external Food Safety standards.
  • Develop internal capabilities with trainings, methods and tools to equip the different functions.
About You

You bring your Master’s Degree or PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or a related field and your solid 8+ years of experience in Quality/Food Safety/Chemical Safety/Risk Management roles. Your deep knowledge of the Food sector and your background in structured, multinational companies will be a key asset for us.

You can work confidently in fluent English, leveraging your international mindset and ability to craft clear communication across diverse teams. Your analytical skills and natural leadership will help you meet all the ambitious goals of the function.
