A leading hospitality company in Bari is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with policies. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience in mid-large companies, and familiarity with the hotel business. Engagement with the Hotel Controller to optimize financial efficiency is essential.

Competenze

  • Previous experience as Accountant, additional experience as Auditor is a plus.
  • Experience in mid-large companies required.
  • Knowledge of payroll software preferred.
  • Familiarity with hotel business is advantageous.

Mansioni

  • Ensure financial policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage all finance and accounting operations including P&L and budgeting.
  • Implement local accounting procedures per regulations.

As Assistant Controller, reporting to the Hotel Controller, you will ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed. You will be responsible for the accounting functions. The position requires close collaboration with the Hotel Controller and Departmental HODs to ensure procedures are understood and adhered to within the department and the hotel.

Main duties & responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge in general of accounting and tax related matters;
  • Manage all finance and accounting operations : P&L month-end process, balance sheet reconciliation, BS month-end process, CF month-end process, budgeting, forecasting, capex, etc.;
  • Implementation and maintenance of local accounting procedures as required by local and federal regulations and in accordance with company policies & procedures;
  • Performs / directs regular inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with the required procedures;
  • Daily cooperation with the Hotel Controller to maximise the financial efficiency of the property;
Other requirements
  • Good level of English language would be a plus.
  • Previous experience as Accountant but previous additional experience as Auditor could be a plus;
  • Previous experience in mid-large companies as lower role
  • Previous experience in hotel business would be a plus
  • Preferable degree in business administration or hotel management;
  • Preferable evidence of self-development through specialized courses;
  • Knowledge of Accounting Management software such as Navision, knowledge of payroll software is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel).
