Overview

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues to ensure customer satisfaction; maintain communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
  • Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
  • Identify sales opportunities and communicate to the account team in the geographic area.
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area.
  • Complete all administration tasks on time.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs.
  • Assist less experienced Junior Field Service Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders and interlocutors.
  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard according to GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
Quality Specific Goals
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering, or similar field, or a high specialization technical diploma with relevant field experience.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities; extensive knowledge and experience with MR, NM, and/or PET/CT machinery.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
  • Proven ability to interact with customers, build positive relationships, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Based in Lazio or able to relocate.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • EU Work Permit.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to show self-initiative and motivation; capable of working independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  • Change agent and process-oriented mindset.
  • IT & connectivity skills.
