Due to the nature of the travel, the base location is flexible in Italy.

The Employee Relations Specialist (ERS) is an important role within the EU EXR (Employee Experience and Relations) Field organization, supporting the Country EXR team. This position assists in driving ER activities and initiatives across both under the roof (UTR) and on the road (OTR) operational business lines within a specific country geography. The primary focus is to support Employee Relations Manager (ERM) operational excellence, goals, and strategy while addressing the ER needs of the country.

The ERS works closely with Ops, DSPM and other key in‑country stakeholders to support the execution of the country‑specific ER strategy. This role involves assisting ERM in the implementation of strategies to address country labour relations challenges for business lines. The ERS provides labour relations support by collaborating with operational teams to advance company objectives.

Key job responsibilities
  • Support ERM in the implementation of the EXR strategy.
  • Assist ERM in delivering business line‑specific goals and key initiatives.
  • Identify potential issues and support risk mitigation strategies with data and reports.
  • Monitor internal EXR environment and external operating context.
  • Analyze data to support recommendations and measure strategy success.
  • Contribute to innovative solutions that challenge and improve current process standards.
  • Support engagement mechanisms to maintain positive workplace environments.
  • Conduct site visits with ERM to gather information for ER risk mitigation.
  • Lead EXR reporting activities.
  • Build relationships with peers and internal leaders.
  • Support project management for initiatives aimed at improving associate and driver experience.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized ER solutions.

The position reports to the Senior Employee Relations Manager, within the EU Employee Experience and Relations Team at Amazon. This is a full‑time position that will require significant travel throughout Italy (up to 50% of the time) and beyond on occasion, sometimes with little or no notice.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and basic experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (CEFR C2).
  • Basic knowledge of Italian labor and employment law.
  • Experience in project management within a matrix environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Law, Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience working with third‑party contractor workforces.
  • Experience in distribution, logistics and/or transportation industries.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Flexibility and good organizational skills.
