A leading engineering company in Milan is looking for an Electrical Engineer to manage deliverables in Process Automation and Electrical Engineering. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Power sectors. Proactivity, teamwork, and communication skills are essential. The role involves preparation of key project documentation and may require national and international travel.

Electrical Engineer – Process Automation and Electrical Engineering

The electrical engineer is responsible for activities related to their discipline within a project. They, as part of a group of electrical engineers assigned to the project, prepare deliverables and execute activities belonging to the electrical discipline in compliance with safety and technological requirements and standards defined for the project.

They report to the Head of Department and to the Electrical Discipline Leader assigned to the project for project-related activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering.

Minimum of 2 / 3 years of work experience in engineering design in the Oil & Gas or Power sectors is preferred.

Proactivity, initiative, ability to work independently and in a team.

Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).

Availability for short and long-term national and international business trips.

Key responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Electrical Discipline Leader, the main tasks during project execution include :

Develop discipline deliverables such as :

• Single Line Diagrams
• Load schedule / Plant load balance
• Network studies and calculations (Load flow, short circuit, stability, protection settings, harmonics, etc.)
• Electrical equipment specifications for MV and LV equipment such as Motor Control Centers, switchgears, metering panels, transformers, UPSes, VFDs, motors, heaters, etc.
• Earthing, lighting, tracing systems
• CCTV, Public Address systems
• Electrical cables routing, power distribution
• Electrical layout drawings
• Field installation details
• Field equipment and accessories MTO

As part of the Department, the Electrical Engineer :

• Provides feedback to the Electrical Discipline Leader to improve group efficiency
• Receives ongoing training to enhance skills and share experiences
• Stays updated on electrical design developments
• Seeks continuous improvement of technical competencies
• Assists pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities related to electrical systems
• Participates in manufacturer inspections
