In order to strengthen our Electromechanical & Electronics Components Department we are looking to hire an Electric Motor Project Responsible based in Maranello (Italy). In this role you will be involved in the entire development process of Ferrari Electric Motors for HEV, PHEV and BEV applications. You will be Responsible for the project, interacting directly with the Design Team, the Quality Dept., the Technological Dept. for the DFM (Design For Manufacturing) and industrialization and with the Testing Dept.

You will be responsible for the overall development process: you will be required to guarantee both the motor performance vs. the requirements and its reliability. Moreover, you will be responsible to guarantee the project timing and costs. Finally, you will interface with the Vehicle Development Team in order to make sure that the motor is able to reach the required performance at vehicle level.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

Qualifications

In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering. You should ideally have gained at least 3 years’ dedicated experience in one or more of the following areas: R&D, Testing, Quality. Previous experience in electromagnetic and/or mechanical design of Electric Motors and in Vehicle Certification, Homologation or Regulatory Compliance (preferably, but not limited to, in the automotive industry) will be an asset. Understanding of Global Automotive Regulations and Certification processes is required to manage the activities.

In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role. It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage. We appreciate individuals with experience outside their country of origin, allowing for a multicultural mindset.
