ROLE SUMMARY:

The International School of Monza is seeking a warm, proactive, and child‑centred Early Years Assistant to join our Early Years team from January or as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support high‑quality learning through play, contributing to a nurturing environment where children feel safe, engaged, and inspired. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education, ideally with experience in inquiry‑based or international settings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering a developmentally appropriate, play‑based curriculum.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning environments, materials, and resources.
  • Supervise and engage with children during class activities, outdoor play, and transitions.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
  • Contribute to the wellbeing, safety, and pastoral needs of all students.
  • Support the documentation of learning when required.
  • Participate in relevant meetings, planning sessions, and professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • Experience working with children aged 2–5 in an early years educational setting.
  • A child‑centred approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good level of English (the working language of the school).
  • Eligibility to work in Italy.
  • A positive, flexible, and collaborative approach to supporting young learners.
  • Experience in an international school or IB PYP Early Years environment.
  • Early Years qualifications or childcare certifications.
