Overview
Documentation Engineer Professional - Taranto at Vestas. Engineering, Full-Time.
Responsibilities
- Creation and updating documentation to Shopfloor / Logistic teams (workers, quality and logistic teams) within Handling & Logistic operations.
- Updated documentation is always available where needed.
- Adhere to the documentation principles described.
- Engage in gathering feedback from shop floors and logistic teams on the function and quality of the documentation delivered.
- Perform internal quality checks of the documentation.
- Perform internal maturity checks of the documentation against documented criteria.
- Keep stakeholders up to date on documentation lead times.
- Develop training material for reading / use of the documentation pack.
- Collaborate closely with the documentation specialists from other documentation teams and share lessons learned.
- Be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Focus on modern documentation systems and material, including process vision, laser systems and other digital enabling systems.
- Investigate and solve production issues using structured methods such as 5x Why and Fishbone diagrams.
- Apply continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Lean to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality.
Education
- Bachelor engineering or equivalent
- GB lean
- Courses within Technical writing or communication
Experience
- About 6 years of experience in similar roles as described above
Worked with
- Create process flow
- Establish and maintain work instructions paper or digital
- Validation of own work
- Participate in development of Handling & Logistic documentation
- Worked in a data driven organization
- Optimization and standardization within manufacturing documentation with use of the toolbox
Important skills
- Proficient writing and communication skills: Ability to simplify complex information
- Technical skills: Particularly for Logistic documentation involving transportation and storage systems, production processes, or software systems; ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language
- Attention to detail: Accuracy is critical in documentation that supports operations or compliance
- Willingness to spend time in the factory environment to understand and solve problems
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Use of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams to identify and solve production issues
- Self-motivated, result-oriented with strong organizational discipline
- Ability to collaborate across a large organization, build networks across cultures and time zones, and work with stakeholders
- Customer-oriented with understanding of the full business value chain from a customer perspective
