Role : DevOps Engineer

Location : Bari or Milan, Italy / Hybrid

Job Type : Permanent or B2B

Role and Responsibilities

• Own and drive strategic initiatives for DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure requirements.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Terraform to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Architect and optimize containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes for scalability and performance.
• Define and implement observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Design and manage cloud and on-prem networking to ensure secure connectivity.
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Advise teams on DevOps capabilities and best practices.
• Provide feedback to improve policies, standards, practices, and tooling.
• Make data-driven decisions focusing on ROI and cost management.
• Collaborate with IT and software teams to foster a cohesive environment.
• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, promoting DevSecOps best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve skills and processes.

Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience with Azure, Kubernetes, infrastructure, networking, and security.
• Expertise in CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps (or GitLab/GitHub) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Experience in a senior DevOps role with complex projects.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Proven success in deploying secure, large-scale on-premises or cloud solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment strategies.
• Experience with high-availability, performance, and security of systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools like Azure DevOps, JetBrains TeamCity, Perforce.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Strong skills in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).
• Understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, and security controls.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and compliance standards like ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Experience working with global teams and vendors.
• Strategic, innovative, and adaptable mindset.
