Offer Description

The research - to be carried out under the Project Space It Up, WP 2.2 “Model-based concurrent engineering mission and systems design and analysis” - concerns the development of computational techniques for direct numerical simulation (DNS) of incompressible and compressible flows in cooling channels with rectangular cross-section, with particular focus on the prediction of pressure losses and heat transfer. The study will also address the characterization of surface roughness effects and its possible parameterization within intermediate-fidelity computational methods (e.g., RANS)

up to 40 points for the professional scientific curriculum - up to 30 points for the submitted program development proposal - up to 30 points for the interview.
