AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Design Manager in the Building & Places Team. The role involves working on large-scale real estate and civil engineering projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring alignment between design outputs, contractual requirements, scope, schedule, and quality. This position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects and collaborate with senior professionals to support project needs and your growth in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and support public procurement procedures for engineering and architectural services in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical and administrative tender documentation and contribute to technical and financial bids.
  • Perform design management activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring alignment between design outputs, contractual requirements, scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitor design deliverables, interfaces, and approval processes during tender and contract execution phases.
  • Manage relationships with contracting authorities, Project Managers (RUP), and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support post-award contract management, including service start-up, design changes, and contractual amendments.
  • Ensure proper digital document management, traceability, and risk mitigation throughout procurement and execution processes.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering and consulting firm.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • Capability to work with BIM/2D Civil/Architectural software (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc.) and good understanding of Microsoft Office suite, in particular Excel and Project.
  • Motivation, initiative, and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities.
  • Reasonable flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits.
