A leading global food company in Assago is looking for a Demand Planner. This role involves managing sales forecasts and ensuring optimal demand planning accuracy for the assigned brand. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of supply chain experience, strong analytical skills, and be fluent in Italian and English. Knowledge of SAP, Power Query, and Power BI is a plus. The position offers a fixed-term contract and encourages a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Competenze

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Commercial Development/Sales.
  • Experience in Production, Demand & Supply, or Distribution Planning is a plus.

Position Summary

In this role you will manage the sales forecast for the assigned brand and distribution center of the Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages business in Italy. You will be responsible for the weekly forecast update on 18-months horizon, with the aim of assuring the optimal demand planning accuracy, customer service level and optimal stock cover. Furthermore, you will be involved in continuous improvement projects, having the opportunity to lead the project development, suggest initiatives and guide all the stakeholders to through the project scope.

A day in the life of a Demand Planner
  • Develop, maintain and improve a consolidated Demand Plan at SKU level and on daily basis for a portfolio of products, which represents the most realistic estimate of customer/ channel demand, through projection of the most realistic demand estimate, managing exceptions to enhance the responsiveness of the supply in fulfilling market demand
  • Determining key issues with volume variance that may impact supply and highlighting them to production and distribution planners by challenging existing logistics and supply planning processes and tools
  • Ensure the alignment of the demand plan with internal and external partners through Monthly Business Planning (MBP) and collaborative planning processes
  • Identify and manage exceptions and monitor performance to continually improve the quality and reliability of the demand plan and the Company’s ability to sense and respond to changing circumstances
  • Analyzing and effectively communicating relevant information with the direct producing factory and affiliate supply teams, highlighting all supply issues to the sales and commercial team
  • Active involvement in Monthly Business Process and supply chain practices to have finished goods available at the right stock location with the freshness requested.
What will make you successful
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Commercial Development/Sales
  • Having operations experience in at least one of the following areas is considered a plus:
    • Production Planning
    • Demand & Supply Planning
    • Distribution Planning
  • Analytical mindset and attention to details
  • Supply Chain Planning interest, with a determined and proactive approach
  • Strong Excel knowledge – SAP, Power Query and Power BI knowledge is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and high service orientation level
  • Fluent in both Italian and English
