Within the Group Data Artificial Intelligence and Automation Solutions function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. The function is in charge of driving the execution of key Artificial Intelligence projects at Group level, related both to AI-driven automation and AI recommendations/predictions to support the Generali growth. The function is also responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving a library of central shared analytics/automation services, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, available for the BUs through a central platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the project set‑up, the analysis of the as‑is processes, the creation of a business case, and the design of the target end‑to‑end solution, including the models and data needed to maximize the business impact
• Developing end‑to‑end AI projects (data pre‑processing, algorithm selection, training, evaluation/test, and code‑base maintenance)
• Presenting and explaining the projects results and the solution’s performances to the business stakeholders
• Researching bleeding‑edge techniques and tools to bring new research topics and methodologies from paper to production and contribute to the library of ready‑to‑use shared algorithms used worldwide

Requirements

• Master’s degree in STEM disciplines (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
• At least 2 years of experience, as a data scientist or AI/ML engineer
• Experience in designing, developing, and evaluating Statistical or Machine Learning models (clustering, classification, regression, forecasting, etc.)
• Proficiency with at least one programming language (Python, Java, C, etc.)
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge on one among NLP and Computer Vision techniques
• Knowledge of the main LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral, etc.) and related libraries (LangChain, LLamaIndex, etc.), and prompt engineering
• Proficiency with Data Science libraries (Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Numpy, etc.)
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and deductive skills, creativity, and determination
• Ability to work in a team, operational autonomy, proactivity, high level of commitment and result oriented
