Overview

As a Data Center Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, operation and maintenance of the data center infrastructure that supports Generali's IT services. You will ensure the reliability, availability and security of the data center facilities, cabling, racks and environmental monitoring; you will collaborate with the building Facility team which are directly responsible for the availability and reliability of power, cooling, fire protection, and facility infrastructure management. You will also coordinate with external vendors, contractors and service providers to deliver high-quality data center solutions.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing data center facility projects according to the business requirements and best practices
• Performing regular inspections, audits and preventive maintenance of the data center IT facilities and IT equipment
• Join the Building Facility team in performing the regular audits and inspections to make sure preventive and corrective maintenance on building facilities and equipment are properly performed
• Troubleshooting and resolving any data center facility issues or incidents in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitoring and optimizing the data center facility performance and efficiency, using data and metrics
• Developing and updating data center facility documentation, procedures and standards
• Ensuring compliance with the data center facility policies, regulations and certifications
• Providing technical support and guidance to the data center operations team and other stakeholders
