A construction and engineering firm in Italy is looking for a Construction Estimating Head of Department. The role involves leading cost estimating for projects, supporting commercial aspects, and promoting effective estimating methodologies. The ideal candidate should have 7 to 10 years of experience in the refinery and oil & gas sectors, along with strong analytical and team-oriented skills. This full-time position offers a dynamic environment with responsibilities spanning across multiple disciplines and collaboration with engineers.

Competenze

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in refinery, oil & gas facilities, and power generation sector.
• Experience in multidiscipline works.
• Familiarity with EPC projects.

Construction Estimating Head of Department
Reports to Construction Home Office Manager; part of Home Office team with occasional site survey trips. Activities: Proposal & Offer phases, sometimes project execution.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimating for subcontract costs, site management, supervision activities, site temporary facilities and running costs.
• Support the construction cost estimate to the commercial department.
• Promote development of construction estimating methodology.
• Cooperate with Subcontracting on Construction Subcontractors bid analysis and final subcontract definition.
• Attend the bid kick off meeting called by the Proposal Manager.
• Keep estimating tools and libraries updated.
• Cooperate with Construction Engineers.

Experience

• Relevant experience in EPC projects: refinery, oil & gas facilities, power generation sector.
• Additional previous references in revamping/shootdown will be a plus.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in refinery, oil & gas facilities, power generation sector.
• Multidiscipline works.

Skills and Abilities
