A global engineering firm in Milano is seeking a Cloud and Microsoft 365 Solution Architect to develop cloud strategies and manage governance. As Cloud and Microsoft 365 Solution Architect, you will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager and be part of the IT Function within the Systems and Cybersecurity Operations Department. You will support a team of 7 resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement centralized cloud governance strategies and policies.
• Manage cloud provider environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Oversee the adoption of cloud frameworks and technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical consulting support to application architects to ensure alignment with overall design principles.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement cloud solutions.
• Govern and manage the cloud environment following Saipem’s ITIL processes.
• Oversee implementation of Microsoft 365 security features (e.g., Defender, Purview) and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Govern the adoption and performance of collaboration tools like Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online, monitoring service performance and user satisfaction.
• Supervise integration of Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and align data governance and reporting strategies with enterprise goals.
• Oversee the strategic adoption and responsible use of Microsoft Copilot across the organization, ensuring alignment with productivity goals, compliance standards, and user enablement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical disciplines.

Languages: English (B2‑C1).

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of cloud strategy, adoption and workload migration.
• Knowledge of cloud governance issues.
• Knowledge of server, storage, backup, networking, security, virtualization and main OS and DBMS (SQL, NoSQL).
• Basic skills in DevOps methodology and related application solutions.
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem: Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, and security/compliance tools.
• Proficiency in creating dashboards, reports, and documentation for executive visibility and operational transparency.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices and project management concepts.
• In‑depth knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (MS Azure, AWS, GCP).
