Chief Operating Officer

For a leading company in the retail sector, we are seeking a Chief Operating Officer.

Reports to Managing Director.

MISSION

Ensure sustainable growth through an efficient and scalable operating model across the entire value chain.

Oversee inbound and last-mile logistics, demand planning, import, and infrastructure, driving innovation and integration to support brand and private label strategies with a long-term strategic vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Define, develop, and implement the Group’s operational strategies across logistics, import, and infrastructure areas.

Guide, oversee, and ensure the effective execution of operational excellence, including:

• Optimization of inbound and outbound logistics flows, ensuring timing, cost efficiency, and service levels aligned with customer satisfaction goals
• Development and maintenance of operational infrastructures (warehouses, offices, and stores), ensuring safety, sustainability, and scalability in line with business growth
• Cross-country demand planning and forecasting, ensuring accurate product availability and distribution across markets and channels
• Promotion of innovation and digitalization of operational processes, fostering automation, traceability, and system integration, with particular focus on AI-driven optimization opportunities
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related disciplines; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
• At least 10 years of leadership experience in operations management within retail, consumer goods, or large-scale distribution (GDO)
• Strong knowledge of integrated supply chain management, demand planning, and international logistics processes
• Experience in managing complex distribution networks and large-scale infrastructure or operational transformation projects
• Excellent financial management, budgeting, and cost optimization skills
• Strong collaborative leadership and results-oriented mindset in international and cross-functional contexts
