Job Description Summary

Internal title will be BPA Manager.

As BPA manager you will combine commercial business partnering supporting the commercial franchises through analysis of future‑looking projections and what‑if scenarios with FP&A management, working with departments on spending plans to drive efficiency and maximise returns by presenting key messages and decision points to senior management.

You will form the link between key business performance indicators—both quantitative and qualitative—and schlimm draw a short‑ and medium‑term business picture, guiding management on key dynamics and highlighting primary decision points to deliver the company strategy.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Working across finance and wider commercial & support functions, monitor and drive cost efficiency throughout the company. Develop reporting that works as an early warning system on spend and creates agility in investment decisions, able to redirect resources to maximise returns while remaining within overall cost targets.
  • Become a trusted partner to the business.
  • Working hand‑in‑hand with the business to balance challenge and support, driving decision‑making that helps us deliver the company strategy.
  • Build the bridge between KPIs and financials, allowing Finance and the business to understand and highlight the drivers of current financial performance and what this means for the future.
  • Prepare what‑if scenarios to simulate financial impacts of potential actions, working with wider commercial and support teams to translate these actions and commercial KPIs into financials and provide clear recommendations to management.
  • Coordinate business inputs into the financial processes (budget, monthly and quarterly closing, etc.), managing the needs of the finance team.
  • Develop high‑quality, insightful reporting that allows top management to quickly understand core dynamics and areas for potential action, translating complex situations into simple messages and decision points.
  • Strong communication—clearly and concisely presenting analysis and conclusions, often to non‑finance people, ensuring drivers, recommendations and consequences are fully evaluated and understood.
  • Strive for efficiency in finance processes, being goal‑focused and continually reviewing how we work to remove unnecessary processes and add value to Novartis, meeting the changing needs of the company.
