A leading e-commerce technology provider is seeking an experienced B2B Sales professional to establish their sales presence in Italy. This role requires a proactive individual with a hunter mindset to build the market from scratch. Responsibilities include executing the Go-to-Market strategy, managing the entire sales cycle, and establishing partnerships within the Italian e-commerce ecosystem. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in sales and is fluent in both Italian and English. This position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to be a founding member of the team.

The Opportunity

Base.com is establishing its presence in a new, high-growth market segment: Italy.

We need a true hunter and a high-agency individual to be a foundational part of our team, working directly alongside the Country Head to build our Italian sales motion from the ground up.

You won't just be selling software; you will own the territory. This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves the "thrill of the chase," and doesn't need a playbook to get results. You will be the one writing it.

Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B Sales, preferably in SaaS, E-commerce, or Logistics tech
  • Proven experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams, including the ability to define scalable processes, establish clear KPIs, and implement effective sales methodologies
  • Hunter Mindset: You are self-motivated, proactive, and resilient. Always focused on results and new business opportunities, and don't wait for inbound leads
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Exposure: Experience in launching new products or opening new markets is highly valued
  • Tech‑Savvy: Strong understanding of the e‑commerce ecosystem (Marketplaces like Amazon/eBay/Allegro/Zalando etc, platforms like Shopify/Magento, and API integrations). Strong knowledge of other ecommerce integrators players such as Rithum, Lengow, Tradebyte etc
  • Language: Italian and fluent English are mandatory
Nice to Have
  • System Integrator Background: Previous experience working for or closely with System Integrators (understanding technical workflows, ERP connections, and custom implementations)
  • Tool Stack: Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools like Slack, ClickUp, HubSpot
  • Existing network within the Italian e‑commerce ecosystem
Key Responsibilities
  • Build the Market (GTM): Execute the Go-to-Market strategy for Italy. Identify key verticals, generate new leads, and turn cold prospects into long‑term partners
  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the end‑to‑end sales process: from prospecting and discovery to value‑led demos, negotiation, and closing
  • Consultative Selling: Work strategically with eCommerce Managers and Operations Leaders to map how Base.com's solutions (WMS, Order Orchestration, Marketplace Integration) solve their complex operational pain points
  • Partnership Ecosystem: Build trusted relationships with agencies, 3PLs, and Marketplace partners to create new revenue streams and referral networks
  • Pipeline & Reporting: Ensure accurate forecasting using our CRM (HubSpot) and maintain clear communication with HQ
  • Market Feedback: Act as the bridge between Italian merchants and our Product Team, translating local needs into product improvements
