Amazon is looking for a customer focused, driven, and analytical leader to join the Books organization. We are looking for a Instock Manager who can own complex problems within Supply Chain and Operations team. In this role, the candidate will work cross functionally with teams to identify and launch initiatives aimed at improving the customer and vendor experience. This job is a consultant that works closely with publishers (2-3 per 1 role) to solve issues related to the supply chain.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • 2+ years of professional non‑internship experience
  • Native Japanese or JPLT N1/N2 and business level English required
  • Basic capability for MS Office (analysis using Excel, slide creation using Powerpoint, document creation using Word)
  • Experience with reporting technologies and analytics. Capable of turning raw data into information and insights
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional non‑internship experience
  • Job experience for business planning/supply chain‑related field or analyst/consultant experience at a consulting firm
  • Job experience for business planning/supply chain‑related field or sales experience in the publishing industry
  • Possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills. Ability to work with large complex data sets and familiarity with statistics or other analytical techniques
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines
  • Experience with improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
