Borgo Pignano Florence is a refined boutique hotel nestled in a 5-hectare park in the picturesque Florentine hills, just a few minutes from the city center. As part of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, the property will offer 32 elegant rooms and suites, a private villa, an exclusive spa, a heated pool, two restaurants, two bars and charming event spaces. It's an oasis of relaxation and sophistication in the heart of Tuscany.

Job Description

The Bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage and food service to guests while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role requires adherence to Borgo Pignano service standards, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the bar team in daily operations. The Bartender will contribute to guest satisfaction by delivering prompt and courteous service, demonstrating product knowledge, and upholding hotel standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve guests in accordance with the hotel's food and beverage quality, presentation,
  • Adhere to the Beverage Department's Standard Operating Procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Set up the bar at the start of operations, ensuring all supplies, liquors, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes are prepared.
  • Process drink orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in the number of drinks and billing procedures.
  • Prepare all cocktails according to the hotel's standard beverage manual, using precise measurements.
  • Receive and verify liquor stock against previous shift’s requisitions, reporting discrepancies to the Bar Supervisor.
  • Maintain security in the work area, ensuring the bar is never left unattended unless properly relieved.
  • Assist with cleaning duties and disposing of melting ice.
  • Ensure compliance with Borgo Pignano service standards.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and supervisors regarding guest preferences and special requests.
  • Uphold hygiene and health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Participate in team briefings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and service quality.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Bar Supervisor or F&B Management.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar role within luxury hospitality or high-end dining.
  • Knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, and wines.
  • AIBES or IBA or similar certification is a plus
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Start date: June 2026, with a 7 month fixed-term contract (grade as per the National Collective Labor Agreement for the Tourism Sector)
