As Assistant Controller, reporting to the Hotel Controller, you will ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed. You will be responsible for the accounting functions. The position requires close collaboration with the Hotel Controller and Departmental HODs to ensure procedures are understood and adhered to within the department and the hotel.

Main duties & responsibilities :

1. Excellent knowledge in general of accounting and tax related matters;
2. Manage all finance and accounting operations: P&L month-end process, balance sheet reconciliation, BS month-end process, CF month-end process, budgeting, forecasting, capex, etc.;
3. Implementation and maintenance of local accounting procedures as required by local and federal regulations and in accordance with company policies & procedures;
4. Perform / direct regular inspections and tests to ensure all departments are complying with the required procedures;
5. Collaborate daily with the Hotel Controller to maximize the financial efficiency of the property;

Other requirements :

• Good command of the English language is a plus.
• Previous experience as Auditor or Senior Accountant;
• Experience in mid-large companies in a lower role;
• Experience in the hotel industry is a plus;
• Degree in business administration or hotel management is preferable;
• Evidence of self-development through specialized courses is desirable;
• Knowledge of accounting management software such as Navision; knowledge of payroll software is a plus;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
