An international eco-justice organization is seeking an Africa Energy Transition Fellow to advance renewable energy solutions in Africa. The position involves developing community-led initiatives, engaging local stakeholders, and advocating for equitable energy transitions. Candidates should have relevant educational background, strong research and community engagement skills, and a passion for climate justice. Working in a hybrid environment, this part-time role offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Laudato Si’ Movement (LSM) is an international network of 900 Catholic organizations and thousands of grassroots leaders working together to care for our common home and advance climate and ecological justice. The Africa Energy Transition Fellow will support LSM’s commitment to advancing renewable energy solutions and promoting a just transition across Africa. Working closely with the Africa Programs Manager, the fellow will conduct research, build partnerships, and develop community-led initiatives that align with LSM’s mission of climate and ecological justice. This position involves engaging local stakeholders, organizing training programs, and advocating for policies that prioritize renewable energy. The fellow will play an instrumental role in developing impactful projects that empower communities and support LSM’s mission in the African context.
Essential: English
Desirable: Proficiency in French or other African languages
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
