A global transportation company in Piemonte, Italy, is seeking an experienced AeroX Engineer to perform Computational Fluid Dynamics analyses and predict aerodynamic performance. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in R&D or Railways engineering. A Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering degree is required, along with advanced knowledge of CFD tools. The AeroX Engineers participate in project / tender development through the application of engineering instructions, guidelines and established internal processes of the AeroX domain.
They undertake Standard Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations within the frame of the projects using standard tools (STAR-CCM+, STAR, TransTun).
In the expertise field, they undertake experimental activities on mock-up (wind tunnel, …) or on train.
They develop advanced simulations methodologies requiring Train System approach covering large domains as Fluid Dynamics, Thermal, Fluid-structure interaction, aero-acoustics, numerical coupling.
They undertake R&D activities and contribute to the development of the discipline.

Network & Links :
Good knowledge of at least one leading CFD package (STAR-CCM+, CFX, FLUENT, PowerFLOW, etc…)
Good knowledge of general fluid mechanics, thermal management, and fluid structure interaction
Management skills to lead R&D actions with a transversal approach
Good communication skills, pro-activity, team working, strategic vision
English conversational / writing / reading advanced level mandatory
Italian conversational / reading advanced level is preferred
