As an Account Manager, you will be the main sales contact for the North-West Italy territory, covering Quaker Houghton’s full range of products, equipment and services. You will focus on nurturing relationships with our existing customer base, primarily in the metalworking fluids market, and you will drive cross-selling and customer satisfaction initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Develop business growth in the North and West Italian region to achieve company sales and gross margin targets by regularly visiting customer sites
  • Create strong relationships with key customer contacts across all levels, existing and prospective, to increase customer satisfaction and cross-selling success
  • Prepare and create customer presentations, proposals, commercial offers and value selling plans
  • Deliver sound technical advice to the customer, working with the Product Application team to implement and offer new solutions
  • Collaborate with the KAM team for alignment with the account strategy to maximize business potential and exceed customer expectations
  • Coordinate with the QH Fluid Intelligence Solutions team regarding our range of equipment sales
  • Work with Customer Service and Technical Service teams to meet overall customer expectations
  • Regularly report to management to analyze sales targets, budgets and forecast, primarily using CRM, Excel and other IT tools
  • Attend and participate in conferences and industry trade shows
  • Monitor competitors’ activities, industry trends and regional regulations to provide feedback for innovation and market development

What are we looking for?

  • 1 to 3 years of technical sales experience in a B2B environment, ideally with exposure to metalworking processes and the automotive sector. Experience managing both end-user and distributor accounts is an advantage.
  • Education: Engineering degree (mechanical, chemical, industrial or similar)
  • Languages: Italian (bilingual level) and English (professional level written & spoken) are required. Previous work experience in metalworking fluids, lubricants, grease, coolants or similar industrial chemical markets is preferred.
  • Profile: A dynamic professional with excellent communication and presentation skills to build trust-based relationships with key stakeholders
  • Location: This is a field-based role in the West and North Italy territory
  • Soft skills: Safety conscious; team player, autonomous, results-driven, analytical & problem solver, customer focused
