CMCC Foundation is looking for a Junior Legal Specialist to join the Legal & Contract Advisory Organizational Unit. The selected candidate will support the team in the Unit’s activities, contributing to the management of contracts and legal matters of national and international relevance.

ROLE

The selected candidate will provide legal support and advice to the Foundation’s organizational units on all matters within the Unit’s scope of responsibility and, in particular, will handle the analysis, guidance, and oversight of various legal issues, especially those related to the Foundation’s contractual matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Management
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating research contracts and any contract or formal agreement entered into by the Foundation with third parties—both public and private—managed by the Legal & Contract Advisory organizational unit;
  • Managing, maintaining, and improving workflows, processes, templates, and tools related to the Foundation’s contract management;
  • Managing and monitoring documentation (e.g., archiving, data entry in the internal database, deadline tracking, etc.);
  • Contract due diligence: identifies legal and financial risks in existing contracts, verifies regulatory compliance and the correctness of contract clauses, evaluates opportunities or advantageous terms, and provides insights to negotiate better terms or make informed transaction decisions.
Legal Advisory
  • Providing legal support, assistance, and advice to the various research divisions and organizational units on all matters with legal implications or impact;
  • Preparing legal memos, reports, and responses to legal inquiries.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in law.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as in‑house counsel or gained in law firms, public entities, companies, or consulting firms, with strong expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts;
  • Experience in organizations operating in the scientific research sector is considered a preferential requirement;
  • Strong knowledge of civil law and administrative law;
  • Excellent command of the Italian language, both written and spoken;
  • Very good knowledge of the English language.
  • Accuracy and good analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive documents and information with discretion, strong ethical standards, and respect for privacy;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team;
  • Efficiency in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize;
  • A passion for corporate law and for managing legal matters in complex and multidisciplinary environments, with a proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
  • The Managers will be based in Lecce CMCC office.
  • Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
  • Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
  • Flexible working time as per internal policies.
  • Support during the immigration process, if needed.
