A logistics company in Indonesia is seeking a Business Development Executive to secure new clients in freight forwarding. Responsibilities include developing market strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong client relationships. Ideal candidates will hold a bachelor's degree and have two years of experience in business development within the supply chain or logistics sectors, with proficiency in English and Indonesian Bahasa. This position offers a dynamic work environment focused on growth and client satisfaction.
Identify, prospect, and secure new clients in freight forwarding (air, sea, and land transportation).
Develop and execute strategies to penetrate target markets and achieve sales targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize profitability.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Provide feedback to management on pricing, service offerings, and market positioning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
Coordinate with internal departments to meet client requirements and resolve issues promptly.
Any ad-hoc matter assigned by superior
Bachelor’s degree or above.
Proficient English & Indonesian Bahasa (Written and Spoken)
2 year of experience in business development and customer service in supply chain or logistics industries.
Good Freight forwarding & Logistics Operations Competency.
Proficient communication and negotiation skills.
Working with Direct Customers to satisfactorily fulfil service and resolve any issues in the process.
Freight forwarding / Sales & Marketing experience is an advantage.
