PT SSI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Renewable Energy to join our team and contribute to

the successful delivery of renewable energy projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on

project execution, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Engineering:

Develop and deliver detailed electrical system designs for PV power generation projects, covering the sizing, selection, and evaluation of PV panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, transformers, and LV/MV switchgears, with focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiency, maintainability, and long-term operational performance.

Conduct on-site surveys and inspections to support design work and to identify potential challenges during the construction/installation phase, while performing on-site troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during the operation phase.

Support the Business Development Team in meetings with clients and stakeholders to clarify technical elements and align design expectations.

Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to finalize project specifications, optimize project outcomes, and ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.

Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory approvals and to obtain permits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations for on-time completion of projects.

Project Execution and Supervision:

Supervise on-site installation and commissioning of projects, including contractor management, ensuring all activities comply to the approved designs, timeline and safety protocols while following industry best practices.

Facilitate effective communication between the project team, clients, contractor, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and manage client expectations.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and contractor performance meets or exceed quality requirements.

Prepare regular progress reports and update the Project Manager and clients, highlighting milestones, risks, and recommended mitigation measures.

The candidate would possess the following capabilities and qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.

Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in electrical and PV power generation project design, coordination, and management. Candidates must meet this experience requirement, as the role is not suitable for fresh graduates.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, PVSyst, PVSOL) and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of local and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC) for electrical design and installations.
• Familiarity with AI‑powered tools to analyze data and optimize designs, improving efficiency, accuracy, and overall project performance.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to confidently and comfortably present technical solutions to key customers and respond in a timely manner to technical concerns and answer questions in a knowledgeable, articulate manner.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, including technical report writing.
• Valid driving license preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently domestically and occasionally internationally for projects and client meetings.
